WARNING

To whom it may concern

Piping has gone thru some changes in management I am sad to say. Somehow an oversight has been made. Gxxxxx Fxxxxxxx has been placed in a position that far exceeds his management skills. Speaking for myself and some other piping designers,Gxxxxx Fxxxxxxx is going to be a major road block when it comes to producing any due date deliverables.Gxxxx's skills on a personal level are poor at best. Quickly you should be able to notice that his technical skills are suspect also. Management, you have made a tremendous error, it is plain to see Jxxxx is not the right person for the piping supervisor position. How many more people are going to have to quit the piping dept. before management sees what the real problem is? (Gxxxxx Fxxxxxxx) Please, for the sake of the xxxx project, find someone with the technical background to handle the job and the people skills to work with others on a professional level.

Thank You

Rxxx Exxxxxxxxxxxx

To my colleges and friends of the xxxxxxx project

With the deepest sadness I will be saying good bye. After five years Gxxxxx Fxxxxxxx has finally been able to drive me from the XXXXX project and out the door. I had every intention of going to xxxxx and finishing the xxxxx project, as your equipment PDS lead, but the day to day harassment from Gxxxx has taken it toll on me physically and emotionally. The final straw that broke the camels back was the out burst from Gxxxxx Fxxxxxxx in early March. He wanted to know what gave me the f%!@ing right to look out the F%!@ing window. Then went on to tell me that he did not care how F%!@ing long I had been on the project. Then at that time Gxxxxx told me that I need to be looking for another f%!@ing job that he would make sure I would not be here much longer. With this kind of a person as a supervisor within the piping dept. in charge of people, I was left with know choose but to quit. Talking to a designer as a piping supervisor in this manner is not professional and shows complete ignorance and lack of management skills. With supervisors like this in charge of people you will not have enough piping designers to fill a taxi cab by the time you move to xxxxxx. Once again I am vary sad I am leaving the xxxxx project but I can take no more harassment of this kind, for my own physical well-being I have to say good bye and good luck.

Sincerely

Rxxxxxx Exxxxxxxxxx (AKA Dude)

Is this from you? I'm sorry to hear that. Many times I wanted to leave my last job because of bad management.

Being blunt like that can take *****, but is not always viewed as professional (hence why you said how NOT to leave a job/project, heh). I don't know whether that was you or not, but if that had happened to me, my first reaction would've been to go to HR and complain about the harrassment. I learned from my previous boss how easily it is to be set one inch away from being fired for something as simple as being reported as wearing clothes with holes in them (even though the person complaining had no proof of anyone vouching for what they said against me). You could say something as simple as "my supervisor doesn't smile all the time," and usually HR will write them up. Harrassment is a real issue with real consequences, and that persons' supervisor should never be allowed to say anything like that to the people he supervises.

But now that the e-mail like that has been sent, HR won't do anything about it unless someone else says something because they will most likely disregard your message as one said by a disgruntled employee who is looking to vent (or that you sound like that guy who ran onto the White House yards and said they were a victim of terrorism).

INteresting...

Btw word to the wise. Proof read Proof read Proof read.

and I quote, "With this kind of a person as a supervisor within the piping dept. in charge of people, I was left with know choose but to quit."

It should read, "With this kind of a person as a supervisor within the piping dept. in charge of people, I was left with "NO" "choice" but to quit."

that is the big mistake. I could also re-write that sentance for structure as well but you get the point.

This was forwarded around my company as a joke...

Dear Mr. Baker,

As an employee of an institution of higher education, I have few very basic expectations. Chief among these is that my direct superiors have an intellect that ranges above the common ground squirrel. After your consistent and annoying harassment of my co-workers and me during our commission of duties, I can only surmise that you are one of the few true genetic wastes of our time.

Asking me, a network administrator, to explain every nuance of everything I do each time you happen to stroll into my office is not only a waste of time, but also a waste of precious oxygen. I was hired because I know how to network computer systems, and you were apparently hired to provide amusement to your employees, who watch you vainly attempt to understand the concept of "cut and paste" as it is explained to you for the hundredth time.

You will never understand computers. Something as incredibly simple as binary still gives you too many options. You will also never understand why people hate you, but I am going to try and explain it to you, even though I am sure this will be just as effective as telling you what an IP is. Your shiny new iMac has more personality than you ever will.

You wander around the building all day, shiftlessly seeking fault in others. You have a sharp dressed, useless look about you that may have worked for your interview, but now that you actually have responsibility, you pawn it off on overworked staff, hoping their talent will cover for your glaring ineptitude. In a world of managerial evolution, you are the blue-green algae that everyone else eats and laughs at. Managers like you are a sad proof of the Dilbert principle.

Seeing as this situation is unlikely to change without you getting a full frontal lobotomy reversal, I am forced to tender my resignation; however, I have a few parting thoughts:

1. When someone calls you in reference to employment, it is illegal for you to give me a bad recommendation as I have consisted performed my duties and even more. The most you can say to hurt me is, "I prefer not to comment." To keep you honest, I will have friends randomly call you over the next couple of years, because I know you would be unable to do it on your own.

2. I have all the passwords to every account on the system and I know every password you have used for the last five years. If you decide to get cute, I will publish your "Favorites," which I conveniently saved when you made me "back up" your useless files. I do believe that terms like "Lolita" are not viewed favorably by the university administrations.

3. When you borrowed the digital camera to "take pictures of your mother's b-day," you neglected to mention that you were going to take nude pictures of yourself in the mirror. Then, like the techno-moron you are, you forgot to erase them. Suffice it to say, I have never seen such odd acts with a ketchup bottle. I assure you that those photos are being kept in safe places pending your authoring of a glowing letter of recommendation. (And, for once, would you please try to use spellcheck? I hate correcting your mistakes.)

I expect the letter of recommendation on my desk by 8:00 am tomorrow. One word of this to anybody and all of your twisted little repugnant obsessions will become public knowledge. Never f*ck with your systems administrator, Mr. Baker! They know what you do with all that free time!

Sincerely

David Blocker
