i had expired tags and i went from vegas to albuquerque where i am a resident and two days before i got my registration i got pulled over and got a ticket for that ****. Now I have a warrant i got to pay cuz i didnt go to court cuz my court date was after i left to go back to vegas and the damn ticket didnt have a # to call oh well

The REAL downside is getting in a collision, not being insured, getting sued, declaring bankruptcy and losing everything you own. Plus losing your license.

When I got my TII I drove it from Akron, Ohio to Syracuse, NY on somebody's Illinois tags, no registration, no inspection and no insurance. That was pretty damn stupid.

Meh, you're already bankrupt at that point. Maybe jail time in lieu of paying the fines?

you might could get it extended...people here do it all the time (I order license plates for a state agency)
