Hey i just wanted to know how mych ya get from the car. I put a full tank and the most i can get is 160 miles from a full tank. and im driving slow, not speeding as much and its a automatic what givess, i know people with verts gettng 300 miles.

Holy ****. I was gitting around 275 a tank with my big SP engine, and the stock ecu never going into closed loop mode. Ill get back to you in a few weeks with results now that Ive got a standalone, and closed loop cruise. Im expecting around 350 a tank.

 

Since this is in GEN D im proud to say my jetta gets 53mpg or 650miles+ to a tank.

I have gotten as high as 25mpg or so

 

Best I got was just about 400 miles out of one tank. This consisted of 75mph highway driving down to Virgina quite a few times. Got the same with the T2 and n/a.

 

One thing to check on your FC is that the gas guage is reading accuratly. When I got my TII I filled it up and drove around till it read empty and was like WTF?!?!? I only got like 190miles to that tank. When I filled it up it only took 12 gallons and its a 16.6 gallon tank............so your gas gauge might not be very accurate. Once mine hits below the last markof the gauge I can get another 90 miles or so out of it.



To answer you other question I get about 19-21 mpg on an 87 TII with DP and catback, 7lbs of boost

 

Stop and go with no ac i think i get 17 mph. Highway, no AC, super fuel conservation mode at 120 kph i got around 27 mph.



7 hours at shannonville track i burned off two complete tanks of gas. So i think i got like 5 mph maybe?

 

around town i get 14-16mpg, and on the freeway its about 18-20mpg, this is with the 20b. if i put my foot down its like 6-7mpg though

 

the most i filled up my tank was 13 gallons but eh car had al il bit inside left so im assuming the 2 gallons reserve and the 1 gallon it waas showing i dont think my gas guage is wrong. SO WHY THE LOW GAS MILEAGE? can anyone tell me how to check it out to see why its burning so much

bad plugs? low idle, stop and go i know is one of them
