Well last month i bought a sofa from them. At first they were supposed to deliver on the 15th, well they delayed it 2 weeks because of some special order fabric, and rescheduled the delivery to tommorow. Well i just called to confirm the order and they said its going to take another day. They messed up and forgot to put the reorder in the system so i have to wait again. First mistake they took off the delivery charge. Now my g/f just got done bitching them out and any guesses how much money they will take off??

then it got here and it was the wrong color anyhow- gotta love

those crazy Italian furniture makers.

 

I'm getting all new furniture when we move. Been trying to phase out the IKEA **** ever since we got it, but it served it's purpose, I can't complain. You gotta buy what you can afford at the time.



I've never even heard of sofa express. I know if you buy from a local place they usually stock one color and if it isn't the one you want it can be up to 6 months.

 

I once waited about nine months for a nice Thomasville headboard from a local furniture store. At that point, I called them and told them to shove it up their butts and give me my money back, which they did.



I think when I buy furniture again, it will be from a place called The Dump, which stocks overruns and discontinued items. If you're sitting on it, you can buy it, and take it with you that day.

 

I ordered a chaise and got it 3 days later.



but I never have stuff delivered to my house, I have them deliver it to the local store, and I borrow a truck and pick it up.



And am I the only person who doesn't call it a "sofa?" I prefer couch.

 

most places, custom orders or anything like that dont even acknoledge an order until the fabric comes in. i can relate to how mad you are. i have people in my work that wait 12 weeks for a piece of furniture, then the 1 week to ship it too. my upholstery company does orders in about 6-8 weeks. now that is quick!

 

Well its coming tommorow hopefully and they are going to take money off for messing up twice. But today some furniture came( coffee table and 2 small tables) well we paid 80$ for the delivery about a mile and for them to put it together. Well they came and i let them in, i was watching tv and wasnt really paying attention to them and i sign his paper. Well when i turn around to see them putting them together they were gone.... left the box and rolled out. So im like wtf i paid money for them to put it together. So i call them up and tell them to come back and put it together, and when they show up an hour later i didnt answer my door. LOL

i put it together myself and i was laughing when they came. They deserved it though, trying to be lazy does not pay off...

 

Damn i thought it would never come....Ill post pics in a couple days!!
