I know but, whoever said I (we) cared for straight-only fast cars? I thought this forum was based on guys who "Drive" fast, not have cars that simply Go fast

"Straights are for fast cars, turns are for fast drivers" [/quote]

1/4 miles require good drivers as well. that statement is over-exaggerated about turns are for fast drivers and ****.

Real Racers go straight to the finish line, while others go around circles looking for it!

I beg to differ.

The best drag cars are automatics.

Sure it takes a lot to build it (and a lot of knowhow).

But once it comes down to it...its ummm....press down the accelerator and hold that wheel steady....

Not saying it doesn't take ANYTHING to do it, But I do think the generalization holds true, I think WRC drivers could do Daytona anyday!

True true. My MKI MR2 was super-sloth but I always said "Well mine handles better". :P

They also put the 323 GTX motor in the Festiva that was in Sport Compact Car. The guy drove the Festiva from Saskatchewan to California with his whole family and all his **** in there, lol.

The "Fastiva" was sold, and than some ****** beat the **** out of it, broke in, and tore the **** out of the car. They gouged a big "H" in the hood, prolly pissed off the festiva beat his Cavalier Type R off the line.

all that weight should actually help keep the front wheels down when they try to drag the car.
