You mean how do you ship a hood?
Yeah, that's not gonna be easy. Maybe tape on some big chunks of syrofoam to the edges and corners, put it in a new heavy cardboard box the right shape, stuff the whole thing with peanuts and insure the **** out of it?
"Local pickup only?"

Build the box frame from 1x2" pine around the perimeter. Then, using plywood, construct stabilizing tack boards to bolt to the hood mounts and latch (to hold the hood securely inside the perimeter and prevent shifting). Then construct the rest of the box (top and bottom) from heavy cardboard. Use reinforced packaging tape to secure cardboard top/bottom to the wooden perimeter, then stuff with styrofoam. Optional: exterior to the cardboard covering the tob and bottom, tack on some 1x2" braces across the length of the hood. Or, if you have 4-ply corrugated cardboard, that will hold up as well as plywood.
