I asked the Mods via PM and haven't gotten a response. The constant clicking noise almost makes it not worth visiting this forum anymore.

 

It's not the forum, its the shoubox, click the little collapse on the shoutbox.

also never noticed the collapse thing. i was going to tell him to change the skin

 

it makes a noise when it refreshes? damn, better change my hearing aid battery.

 

Or turn off the open new window click sound like I did. Or browse with the speakers off.

I changed the skin and it still does it unless I select 'Lo-Fi Version'.

I can't turn the sound off for reasons unrelated to the forum

I tried minimizing the 'shout box' before I posted the question and it didn't help.

-How? I browsed through the multi media options and didn't see anything.

 

Cick "View the shoutbox", then 'My Control Panel" just above the newly loaded shoutbox, then click settings, then under the refresh rate, set to "0" or something insane like "50000"



Or turn off the click sound on your refresh button which is under sounds somewhere.
