How do you get a wholesale licence? I was thinking of seeing how hard it was so I can start a parts business?

it's not to hard really. 1'st you need a shop then you can contact certain companys and they will allow you to buy parts off them at their wholesale price long as you have a shop and buy liek 2k in parts. If you dont go through someone who is allready a wholesaler then you have to buy like 10k in parts or more i think. Someone told me that before i dont know how true it all is. But i'm interested too cause i have a tire shop and woudl like to start sellin parts as well.

You need a company name, and a tax ID. Not that its hard, just most people arent willing to start a business to merely get a discount on parts. Starting a business doesnt mean you have to act like a business, or even make a profit though. When done right, a business that takes a loss can be a nice tax shelter.

buying wholesale normally requires a cash limit or quantity limit before any discount is taken into account.

such as you must buy 50 of so and so items in ONE shot before a discount is granted, or you must spend $10,000 before a discount is given.

etc etc. the more continual, high dollar, high quantity purchases are done the better the discount is.

It seem like a big investment but I could make alot of money doing it. I will have to contact a few companyies to see what I have to spend to get the parts wholesale.
