Hosting A Webserver
Okay so I already have a domain through no-ip.com, but I don't know how to set up anything on my comp to make it work.
I want to experiment with php and mySQL and unfortunately my free GaTech webpage conveniently doesn't support either. My goal is to mess around with phpnuke for future web jobs...
So can someone point me in the right direction or something?

Are you on Dsl or Cable?
Cable usually blocks port 80, I know comcast does here DSL you can usually get away with.
Prolly better off just to spend a couple bucks and get a cheap host, hell for $7.99 I have several nuke's you can install with the click of a button.

i am doing the same thing with phpnuke. I cant figure out how to fill my database from the nuke.sql file hehe.
There's several methods for populating the db. Command line, via a text file, use phpmysql and use text file, zip or copy and paste into the text window.
I'd recommend installing phpmy sql, it makes life a bit easier when starting out.
