Yea the NHL is pretty much done, let's face it they don't have amazing tv ratings to begin with. Baseball never really recovered from the strike, it's going to be even more difficult for hockey to survive.

a lot of the smaller teams will disappear. That is my prediction. Toronto, Montreal, Detroit will all be around. Phoneix, LA, etc will probably fly the coop

Funny thing is, until a friend of mine recently mentioned something about it, I hadn't even realized that there was a strike. Really sucks for the fans, all eight of 'em!

I miss hockey. Been a Devil's season tix holder for years. The sad thing is the ratings for TV ARE terrible, and so is fan turnout. When the devils were winning like crazy even then the arena was only 1/2 full. Hockey is doomed.

I liked hockey when the Avalanche won the Stanley cup, but then they got a crappy team together.

I read that the players wouldn't accept terms that lead to an average $1.3 mil salary. That's so gay.

That's pretty crap - ice hockey is one of the cooler American/Canadian games.
