Plan was to leave for Deals Gap, Tail of the Dragon Friday at noon.

Well Friday 7 AM Car is still on stands with no front suspension.

Finally get in in and aligned at 4 PM. Decide to leave in the morning

Load up 2 spare tires, assorted parts and tools Friday night

Leave at 5 Am, car is running well. Crap forgot my CD case! I have AC/DC in the head unit

Stop for gas after 120 miles. Go about 25 mile and car starts losing power. Damn

Pulll of I-26, Inline filter is clean. Blow out pump suction. Car runs again. HOORAY!!!!!!

Get another 30 miles, car starts to hiccup. Damn. Go thru blowing the line routine. Car regains power.

Makee it to the SC/NC Line, same crap. Pull bottom off the FACET pump, lots of rust nuggets around the magnet. Interns; filter is pretty clean. Reassemble. Start car, make it 10 mile and starts to hiccup. Now going up a 9% grade.

Makes me think my pump suction is clogged or pump is bad. Limp to an advance parts. Buy holley universal pump and some line. Swap out pump. pull float bowls off Holley and clean them.

Car starts, hit the interstate again, get 20 miles and starts acting up again. Now its 10:30. I'm late pissed and stranded.

Find another parts store. Buy drain pan and gas can to check tank. Damn clean fuel no sediment draing out. Look around trunk, figure the old line might be cracked and leaking air on the suction. Whats this grimy piece of crap,,,WOOOOOOOOOOOO old filter !!!! Change car runs good.

Great, Finally make it to Fontanna Dam for the show at 12:30. Pop hood, Notice gas is leaking from Holley. DAMNNNNN! Find problem, Crossover tube is leaking. Darn, no O-Rings in my parts box. What are these funny seals? OOOOOOoOOOOOO Crossover tube gaskets. Great. Get Fuel leak fixed.

Time to leave to run the Dragon... To Be Continued

Get in car, Start it up, Idle is way high. Damn. Attempt to fix. Go to leave, Clutch sounds/fells "off". Decide to go for it. I am behind another 13B RX-2, winding thru HellBender in 2nd and 3rd is great, brkaes are OK, not great, Front tires are rubbing occasionallly but suspension feels tight. About 1 mile to go in HellBender until we turn ont Route 129 (Tail of the Dragon). Traffic backs up and stops. Go to leave. POP! Huge ACRDID cloud of smoke and the car doesnt move. NOT GOOD!. I have NO CLUTCH, zip zilch NADA!!!!!! and 300 miles from home, no cell phone reception etc. Damn

Push car off road with help of Rotorheads, Hop in Geoff's RX2 and run the dragon.

His car is a 13B Street Port, SDS Fuel injection and a IDA TB. Surprising amount of torqe. Fun Run.

Go back to my car, try to move it. NOPE: Clutch did not magically repair itself. Go back to Fontanna Village Lodge, Me and Billy (RESPEED/MRC MFG) Discuss options. Kevin Landers offers to come back from Knoxville with his dolly. about a 3 hour round trip.Hold that has an option of last resort. Call AAA and request a tow. Call Advanced Auto PArts (45 miles away) and order a new clutch. Tow Truck makes it out about 9:45 PM. Bum a ride from Shannon (RX7Club) and meet driver. Make it back at 11 and ponder course of action over a few Yuenglings.

Wake up at 8 (PArts Place doesnt open until 9). CRAP Geoffs car is OUT of gas, Gas Station doesnt open until 9:30. Walk to my car, Pump gas from Tank to Gas Can. HEad to PArts Store and fill up with Gas

We we got back at ~11, Billy and Mike had most of the peripherals off. By 12:30 the Car make a lap around the village under its own power.

The RX@ Runs better than it did when I left

Where the heck is that event? I read about every thread in that forum and I couldn't get a place name or a state. Granted, I'm a bit slow.
