Just out of curiosity, do you think there would have been less personal injury if the airbags had functioned as promised?

Got a phone call from my solicitors this morning and they said that the driver of the truck attended court and had his licence suspended for 2 years and his truck licence for life. He must pay all medical bills and court fees. Solicitors told me about the compensation form that they will be processing for the amount of $67000 against the accused and $150000 against the company he works for. I asked my solicitors not to proceed with the claim against the company. It's a bit of money, I know but why should the company pay for there employee stupidity. There going to look into collecting more from the accused.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. we really need more people like you in the world today. and I am glad that you are ok. i got in a similar wreck but I was in a truck. it hurts. I hope the 8 gets replaced soon.

Hell yes, specially if they had door air bags.

The most injuries came from hitting the light post. Must go past there again one day and look at how far he dragged me until the car let go.

I'm hoping the insurance company gives me the money and not a car.

I feel like i'm not ready to hop back on the horse yet.

I'd say that is pretty easy to prove, if there should be another party coughing up some cash I'd say Mazda. They advertise the airbags on the side and the curtain bag on their website as an "advanced safety feature", the airbags should work as advertise, seems to me it's the same as putting brakes on the car that don't stop it.

I think if I were in a car and got hammered and the airbags didn't work and the car was destroyed you'd have a hard time getting me back in one.

Hopefully all your medical bills will be paid as the guy is supposed to. I hope everything goes well and you recover soon. Good luck.

Good man, it's rare you find someone that's willing to stick to what they believe when they see $$$, I respect that for sure. I know there will be a lot of people who simply do not understand that, but I do, I simply could not in good conscience spend that money, same reason we did not sue the hospital over my Dad's ordeal, granted the money would have been nice, but I could not in good faith sue the hospital when they were basically meaning well, they did indeed **** up, but at the same time they fucked up saving his life....

What about the insurance company, it would seem to me that they would be the ones stepping up to the plate here. I dunno how the guy's employer would be in line before them? That's kind of messed up, I can't see how the company would be resposible for a guy being a ******* moron. I still think he should be in jail, seems like attempted murder or negligence, I dunno. Maybe when you feel better you can drive over there and break matching bones, let him know how it feels. Break a rib and tell him it's from me. The company had the truck insured right? If not then I guess they would assume the liability that insurance company should.

Very perplexing to me who bares the responsibility for things these days, seems as if there's a guy sitting around a table and he says, ok, who has the most money in this room and one guy reluctantly raises his hand and everyone else says "not it" and he writes a check. The ****** behind the wheel should loose his house, car, savings, whatever you name it, personally I would get far more satisfaction out of that, then knowing I prolly got the guy who hired him at the company he worked for fired.

Anyhow, keep us posted, I'm very interested to see what Mazda has to say about the airbags.
That's why I don't won't the $150000 from the company (There Insurance next time will be sky high) and it's not the companies fault.

I don't think it will make things any better for me if I went there and broke his bones. It would make me as good as him and I'm not like him.

I'm still waiting on Mazda for answers.

A push bike, they don't go so fast and you can stop quicker.

Joke a side, don't know yet.
