I was an ME major for a semester...lol. It was fun, and I probably would have stuck with it if I went to a better school.

I had some financial aid my first year of Community college. Unfortunately they don't like it when you start failing classes. Actually I had it for my second year too, but again same scenario.

Government paid for basically one third of all my schooling so far....

I pay MY OWN way to a $20000 a year school, and have scholarships for bout $12000 of that, and the gov pays for bout $6500 of it. So I end up only having to pay bout $1500 plus books and other ****.

I definitely wasn't a very good student in my 1st year. I actually only failed one class my 1st year so I was just on probation. My second year I spent 5 weeks of my winter quarter in Japan on an exchange program but never changed my schedule around from the three classes I had already signed up for. I ended up getting an incomplete in one class and finishing up the others after a couple weeks of getting back. But that was the end of my financial aid, but it didn't make that much of a difference since it was only around 200 bucks a quarter. I ended up transfering to a 4-year and paying my way. I am contemplating my masters, but I think I need a bit more time off.
