Thumbs down

When i get on the gas hard (which I've done exactly 3 times), the oil pressure drops to 0 and stays there, i know it's been leaking oil, but not enuff to go from 40 op to 0 op...i drove it all the way home on 0 as i had a SHITTY SHITTY night and it never overheated, stumbled, showed any signs that there was no oil in it, i just got up so I haven't had a chance to check the oil, but any ideas? So far someone has said that more than likely when i got my tuneup and they did the oil change they over tightened the oil filter and destroyed the seal, i can't confirm that as I have been too busy and tired to jack the POS up..It's definitely leaking by the oil pan oil filter tho...

I know a lot of engines by-pass the filter when going WOT. Maybe it's related to the bypass.

multi-port injection

about 150k on the motor

Didn't leak or fluctuate till after the tuneup

well that's a given :P

I just need some ideas on why it's leaking, as I know nothing about piston engines

and very little about rotaries.....

why its leaking- how would we know?

check the filter, check the engine

if the pressure is dropping to zero then going back

up your probably 2-3 quarts low on oil

instead of posting here you should at least check the oil level

yeah it has NO oil, that would be why it's at ZERO oil pressure, the question is why do i only lose it under HARD acceleration, usually involving turns, If I drive normal no oil go bubye.........that was before, i put in 3 quarts just to get me to town, checked the oil at about normal range, started the car, 40 oil pressure, all good, warmed up the car, came back out, 0 oil pressure, revving it did not make it go up, so no oil again, BUT no pool of oil underneath, no smoke, no overheat.......I need a rotary again I just don't get pistons.....up down and all that

reciprocating bullshit..

A rotary will do the same if the oil is low. The pressure will fall when you get on it.

Do us all a favor, and do the basic troubleshooting before you come onto the internet asking us to diagnose it next time.
