[quote name='Shane.Trammell' date='May 19 2005, 10:45 AM']the auto trannys in these suck, how many miles does yours have? if it was really low on fluid and you drove it you screwed it up. mine in the vert sprung a leak in one of the cooler lines, leaked it almost all out at a gas station, then drove it less a mile to a tranny shop and my tranny was dead.

yeah it wasnt totally dry...it was low. and i didnt drive it for a while. Now i fill it up and its still doing it. I guess ill just do the swap then i dont want to fix this auto tranny , ******* ***** gona cost me more than just putting in a 5 speed. I arleady got the starter , clutch, bearings, fluid, master and slave cylinider and SS clutch lines

If my estimate is more than $100 then **** it to the garabge

Sorry dephrun i was pissed caled these ******* at aamaco and they were acting stupid..

thats why i dont take my car to any mech

I am gona get the BLACK FC and it has a 5 speed so i dont need to worry to much about it now but since the cars been there for so long , any rust i have to worry about on the transmission housing? or parts

I did not feel like wasting my time reading every line of every reply so if this was said already than I apologize for wasting your time but....

The reason this fluid looks like transmission fluid is because it probably is transmission fluid. In the owners manual for the FC one of the fluids that can be used for the power steering is ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid). So, yes, it is transmission fluid but not from your transmission but from your power steering.

If this has been answered already than.....oh well.....

if the fluid is full, then it needs to be rebuilt

you know to check the fluid with the car running, car level, and warm right?
