from what i understand it has a big underground pipe, full of water, and since the ground stays at 57 or so degrees all the time so does the um thingee. the inside unit, from what i gather is close to the same as an air conditioner

yup. expensive to install, but very cheap to run. and one gizmo does both the heating and a/c
