I know you have to pay for the netflix, and I know its not as good as a disk, but for the $8.99 a month its nice if you feel like just watching a movie and not putting on a big production about it. I wont buy a Xbox regardless if it did 7.1 channel and 1080. I just like how the HDMI connections automatically communicate everything for you which I think Roku has.

Cant be bothered trying to keep up with technology anymore, your $1300 reciever will be in the discount section next year when they come out with the next big thing or the next great connections and software. I remember when I spent $5000 on my surround sound and that thing is so outdated its practically useless in todays tech.

Im at the point where as long as it fills the screen with a clear picture I dont even mind watching movies with just 2 channel sound and a subwoofer, not like im George Lucas or something.

LOL, i was going to say most of us old farts don't give a **** about sound. I remember when I did, but I don't give a **** anymore. Amy and I love the streaming netflix, we have had a really hard time getting into the sitcoms this year, so the netlflix streaming has been nice. That said Rob I definitely recommend you get one of the streaming blu-ray players, with xbox you have need to pay for live as well, with one of the bluray players you just pay for netflix.... unless you wanna play xbox then it's worth it.

last I checked the LG player with netflix was like $300, the roku box was $99, maybe if the LG player comes down to like $225 ill buy it, its just not that important to me right now. Ill go to all the trouble and use the stupid thing 5 times, which I think is about how many times I used my PS2 which is the last game system I bought, lol.

My buddy bought an antenna to see what he could get that way and found nothing. Of course he bought the cheapest antenna he could find though, he's pretty cheap.
