I came across this a few minutes ago and figured i would stop by to share. This is crazy, see this is why idiots shouldnt be allowed to own RX7's. Theres a whole bunch of pictures at the link....

http://www.thirdeyeconcept.com/forums/inde...g24814#msg24814

Here's a recipe for buyer's remorse: mix one red 3rd-generation RX7, a clear Sunday evening, a 2-lane rural road, and a curve. Then add the sudden application of 255 turbocharged horses, a berm, a tree, and a brand new owner.

There was no word on the driver, but the airbag went off (do they protect against trees?) -- and one assumes he made it out all right. In a bittersweet moment, the hitting the tree kept him from hitting the house just beyond the tree. The pictures tell the story.

I posted that in the Northwest forum a couple weeks ago. The guy had just bought the car that same day.

Yea it really is a shame. No matter how long you have been driving why would you want to screw around with a car the first day you have it? On a public road, anyway. For all he knows the dealer/previous owner rotated the tires that day and didnt tighten the lugs enough or something else. You cant possibly trust a car that quickly let alone be used to it.

Wow ...I have seen many tree hits because we have swamp or bayous on the sides of roads( they are lined with trees) and I have never seen a car run up a tree.

Whats wierd is no bark scrape and grass scrape.

I guess he wont need those tires any more......hmmmm

This shows where the bark is ripped off, looks like he hit it pretty far up. It could have happened when they pulled it off, but you almost think that it would have taken more bark off as it slid down.

This pic shows where he hit the dip and got airborne.
