Sorry, I'm the guy that likes to prove things wrong, probably because I'd **** my pants if I found out that it was really a ghost.

well heres a little story i have for you. two of my friends were using a quiji board one night, and they were talking to this ghost that was in their house. as usual, they asked for a sign...the lights went on...neither we excited or scared, they assumed it was their mom, but she was nowhere to be found. they stare at each other as their face starts to turn white. slowly they walk back to the quiji board, both still scared out of their minds. they ask him his name; Roger. both of the two girls look at each other and smile a little, both are scared for their lives but neither want to show it. they then ask for another sign, but there was no answer. there were no answers for the rest of the night, no matter how many times they asked.
the two girls decide to just try to go to bed and pretend it never happened, they didnt call or tell anyone of the strange occurances. the two girls wake up the next day, get ready for school, as this is a suaul monday morning routine for them. the morning proceeded as usual; they ate their toast and drank their milk and proceeded outside to their car. But the first girl tripped on something on the doorstep, she fell down the three conrete steps and looked up to see an old ratty book glooming at her, "Indian Signs"
true story, just decided to spice it up a little bit.

I live about 20 minutes from Gettysburg and that's labelled as one of the all time most haunted places.
York has some of it's own stuf though:
York - Ray Meyer's Hallow - It is said that the farmhouse restored from the partially burnt structure from the 1900's is haunted. Witnesses and former residents have claimed to hear strange noises in the hallow, and sounds and bloody handprints in the house. Current residents do not allow people on the land or in the house.
York - The Seven Gates of Hell - It is a separate private road off of Toad Road. Years ago there was a mental hospital located near Toad road. It is now a deserted building. Hundreds of mental patients are said to have escaped from there and killed in the woods surrounding it. If you travel back to Toad Road, you go through seven gates known to locals as "The Seven Gates of Hell." No one has ever been through the fifth gate. Everyone who makes it to the gates hears noises and sees weird things moving in the woods. - Update: It was so popular among local teenagers that just recently, the old hospital and the gates were torn down. One gate stands, the first gate, which is highly visible off of Trout Run Rd. The area is private property, and there are many new no trespassing signs up. Forestry agents are reportedly tearing down trees back there to stop people from coming to experience the "freakiness".
There's lots of old farm houses around that are supposedly haunted too. A friend of mine grew up in a house built in the early 1800's that at some point was owned by a witch. His parents tell stories about when the summer they moved in and there were snakes EVERYWHERE. They used to pull them out of the walls by the handfull. I've witnessed some **** there too. One night my friends parents wereout and we were chilling watching a movie. Afterwards we went outside to chain up the dogs and when we were walking back to the house I noticed the attic light was on. I mentioned it to Travis and he started getting all weird and said "look man just don't worry about it". I kept pressing about it and when we got inside I went and opened the attic door and the light was out. I ran back outside and it was clearly on. At this point I wanted to go the **** home. **** gets moved around all the time in their house too, and you feel odd drafts. I couldn't live there...
