It's not hard to do you just have to pay attention.

You can bend the float bar if you really want but it's not going to get you anywhere really

Don't take the carb off the engine.

So you can build it on the car?

I saw 4 screws that would take most of the carb apart..

So what do I need..a full rebuild kit?

Buy the floats and gaskets. Take it completely apart and soak it in gas so u de-gunk it. Take it off the engine so u don't drop any screws in the engine :P

They are saying keep it in the car..If I drop screws int he engine..its an good excuse for a rebuild ..then I will just convince this guy to go ported..he wanted to put webbers on it ..BUT I told him I personally dont run across them much

Yeah no reason to pull it and it's a pain to do anyways.

I use a product called Justice Brothers Boil Out. It's about as redneck as you can get but it works great

Plus if it eats a part you needed a new one anyways.

Purple Power works good too , 5 gallons = 5 bucks @ Advanced Auto.

banzaitoyota 11-14-2002 01:18 PM

Purple power is not good for aluminum parts

Drop anything that's not plastic into it and let it soak for 4 or 5 hours.

It'll be VERY clean.
