Anyone do this? I have been doing it lately, my guitar teacher taught me how to do it, I am AMAZED how I am able to consistantly tune within the green on the tuner, plus i think it helps yer ears develop. Also people think you are cool.

I always used the 5th fret method (except for that one string on the 4th fret). But I was trained enough to hear tiny variances in tune, so I dunno if that works as well for other people.

yea 5th fret 7th fret for E A, then so on.

it does help your ears. i usually dont do it, i just have a tuner on my amp
