tempo as a daily driver, where have I heard that before?
is it a turbo tempo?!
$500 you should have bought it just to get the rear, trans, hood, etc... so you could turbo swap a NA car when you cant find a good TII!

i wanted to. i just didn't have the money. my father was looking at it as winter restore project and just brought me along as his rotary adviser.
deeffffy p. yeah. i turbod my 6port in the red car. no drivetrain swap. blew it up cause i was an idiot. chucked the motor from the $300 rust bucket rusty gas tank fc into it and drove it a bit. then traded it for a s14 that had rust everywhere but the frame rails and then dailyed that and drifted the **** out of. then i sold that for $3500 because some ricer actually gave me that much and then put together the current scrap heap. and now i want a fc because i miss mine.

wait for a deal man
get a cage from jegs, ill fly down and weld it in for you, plus we party
seriously though wait for a decent fc to come up out of the woodwork for dirt cheap, then go with that
i mean even if you find a blown turbo fc, haggle it down to dirt, just stay focussed on the car has the driveline you want already. if you get a nice cheap n/a, before you know it you're looking to buy a tii driveline, guess what. you're paying money. use a blown turbo motor as a bargaining tool, and keep in mind the car already has the right driveline.
dont rebuild the motor, just get another used one thats got good compression and low mileage.. or maybe you could find another tii with a good motor and a total **** chassis. use the **** chassis as a bargaining tool, scoop the car up. pull the motor, whatever else you want, get a saws-all for 50 bucks and cut the car in 3 or 4 pieces. load into back of pickup truck and collect scrap steel moneys.
you want the car asap running, so why do you have to do a sweet build right from the get go? get a used motor you can bang on, you might get 1 or 2 seasons out of it, and what did it cost? how much drifiting did you get done until it was time to build a new motor? just wait for deals and pounce when its time, you could pull it off, the key is you have to wait for the deals to come. dont go out into the market all impatient.. the deals WILL come
