I have the motorola v400 camera phone. I'm quite happy about this. It is a very nice phone, fairly high camera quailty, awesome screen, plus I'm able to sync games I get off the internet and ringers I make into it, view REAL websites, and text message for free, but...



If you reflash your firmware using the upgraded model, the v600, you can add video playback!!! I did this last night. Got some other cool features as well, and more games. The only difference is V600 is bluetooth where as mine is not, but the firmware doesnt seem to care so long as you dont try to activate the BT.

that will work for now, but once you **** your phone up your warrenty is voided like hell. You do know you get a one year full warrenty on the phone, only thing it doesn't cover is water damage and cracked screen. but hey, thats cool, you won't be able to add blue tooth with just a firmware upgrade though, theres actual "hardware" persay in the v551 which is what you upgraded to. The v600 was on the market for about 3 days before cingular pulled it off because of how much it sucked.

Yeah, i know i cant add bluetooth with the firmware update, and in fact I said that in my second paragraph :P) but I was mainly after video playback and things of the sort. I kinda messed up though, because now I have an unbranded (not the messed up part) EUROPEAN (the messed up part) flash on my phone, so some of the words are misspelled to us americans, and it doesnt have as good signal strength as before...as a matter of fact, right after I flashed it I had 0 signal strength. I had to scan the bands and frequencies then select which one I wanted to lock onto. turns out i have tmobile, att wireless, AND cingular if I need to switch networks. I doubt I'd get penalized for switching to ATT due to the merger, but would probably get some kind of roaming on T mobile. Then I'd just play dumb and ask cingular how my phone would switch to their network, and just play surprised when they bill me.

That and the device is already preprogrammed for all these european service provider's wap internet settings, leaving me 1 slot for cingular settings, when really I need 2, one for wap, the other for MMS.

No Motorola phones work well in my area, I dont care how pretty the thing is, if it dont work its worthless.



I like to keep it simple, Nokia with the best battery I can get and fits in my pocket.

get a 400 and I'll email you the prog's you can use to flash it back to a 600...after playing with my v400/600, with its euro flash, i'm learning that the predictive text for msging is also some nordic *** language....fun

dude you cant get a 400 anymore, just get a v551 it comes with a video phone and bluetooth. Why waste money buying a 400 off ebay and than buying all the extra crap for it. I get 30% off phones so if you guys want one let me know and just give me the money and ill send you the phone
