And if you know anything about how an engine works, intake and exhaust tubes are pretty self explanitory. Shorter = higher RPM HP, Longer = lower RPM torque (just being basic, I don't feel like typing a complete article at 8am after I just got home from work, sorry.)

If you knew anything about how engines work, you would know its way more complex than that. OEM's use supercomputers to model intake and exhaust components, and they STILL have to actually test the piece to verify it works as modeled in the real world. And youre going to sum that up in half a sentence?

It isnt that simple, there is to long, and there is to short, there is of course just right, and you dont get there without alot of testing.. Tunnel rams have longer runners than alot of dual planes, guess that theory isnt so simplistic afterall. Oh please do type us an entire article, I am sure we would all enjoy it.

Let's not forget that most companies design a header with an adjustable test piece that they adjust and dyno tons of times before getting it right. Advanced flow dynamics can't replace real life. Period.

well lets see if we can try to compare this to your occupation.

Lets say your company pays all its taxes, sends its employees off to get trained and certified to operate the equipment, and lets say for arguements sake a operator like yourself makes $25 a hour plus he gets benefits.

Now a yard down the street hires anyone off the street, they dont pay workers comp or insurance on them, they dont upkeep thier equipment or train thier workers, now they have people doing the same thing for $11 a hour.

Well jesus christ why should I pay someone $25 a hour when I can pay someone $11? Its not rocket science to operate a forktruck!

The $11/hr place obviously isn't union.

I'm not going to get into this argument any farther. I will simply sum it up as "I refuse to pay an excessive amount to buy something I can easily make myself that meets my personal needs." I think that's fair enough.
