Chick talkin on her cell phone swung a little wide and hit me at the BACK of the car, right behind the driver's door, didn't even try to stop. She of course says I cut the corner so who the **** knows what will happen with the at-fault. Cop said she couldn't determine fault so it looks like it'll be our insurance footing the bill. No idea how much the damage is, door won't open and rear fender is jacked.

Baldy 10-31-2008 03:51 PM

That sucks! The mustang?

phinsup 10-31-2008 03:55 PM

Yea, of course the chick was talking on her cell phone. I saw her and thought she was going to stop. I do find it hard to believe that i get tboned in the very back part of the car and it is my fault? what the hell she obviously should have seen me. it was in a parking lot of course.

defprun 10-31-2008 04:00 PM

That's bullshit...they want to ban cellphones while driving here but i dont see it happening since the worse ones to do it are the po-po.

phinsup 10-31-2008 04:06 PM

yea but you know of course her story is she wasnt on her cell phone and I cut in front her and somehow slammed my rear quarter panel into her front bumber. Not really sure how an adjuster can say its my fault, i mean really even if i had cut the lane you don't just plow into the person as the go by LOL

Her story is that she wasn't on the cell and that your car magically propelled itself in a direction not possible using the wheels? Maybe she thinks you've got one of those Jeep Hurricane concepts from a couple years back since you'd need to pivot your back wheels to make her bumper hit your rear quarter panel. The cop probably just wanted to let someone else deliver the news to the chick that she sucks at driving and has no right being on the road.

Yea we were just talking about it on the way home, I'm not really sure how it could have went down the way she claims, I basically would have had to been driving strait at the retention pond on the other side of the road, that's about the only way i could see her hitting my tbone in the rear. oh well **** it i have no accidents or tickets i doubt my rates will even go up if they determine it was no one's fault.

phinsup 10-31-2008 11:32 PM

Young chick too, i've been driving more then 3 times as long as her, prolly help my case.

Seppuku 11-01-2008 08:07 AM

when i wake up there better be some damage pics!

defprun 11-01-2008 08:22 AM

If you were of the greyish hair variety you couldve threw her on your knee and got away with it.

amp 11-01-2008 08:31 AM

you should have the availability to take her to court and plead your case...

ive had to do the same when we were tboned years back..

long story short.. came prepared with diagrams to show it wasnt possible to have been my fault..

j9fd3s 11-01-2008 08:55 PM

1. at least you're ok

2. its only a mustang

3. sucks you have to deal with the insurance people

phinsup 11-01-2008 09:38 PM

Yea I could give a **** about cars at this point, 4 wheels and a steering wheel.

Because noone likes taking responsibility for their actions...it's always someone else's fault. I like taking responsibility for my actions, it gives me a clear conscience and it makes it more believable when someone else fucks up and lies that I would be less likely to have done it...

There should be stricter fines and punishments for lyings sacks of ****.

I got T-boned by a squirrel this week in my mini. I felt bad for the poor guy, but it was his own fault. A perfectly good tree on the side of the road to run up, but he ran straight for me. Whats with these fury woodland creatures?

That will total a mini won't it?

94touring 11-02-2008 04:48 PM

Just about. Almost bent a rim I think.

phinsup 11-02-2008 06:55 PM

like a street bike i had, got hit by a 2x4 one day did $800 in damage, considering it was not worth much more then that it pissed me off, at least the mini is worth something LOL

The Meat 11-02-2008 09:36 PM

Bummer dude.

Since it was in a parking lot the police cant enforce traffic laws, except - reckless, handicap, or DUI (AZ Laws) because of the private property.

If you can show your insurance it was her fault then they can pay for the damage.

phinsup 11-02-2008 09:44 PM

Yea I kinda know the police chief here so I man give him a call. Honestly i'm not worried I really doubt they will raise my rates I have nothing on my record for like 7 years. As far as the car we were looking at getting rid of the bitch anyhow and it's paid off so we secretly wish it were totalled https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.gif

75 Repu 11-02-2008 10:23 PM

Seppuku 11-02-2008 10:52 PM

I wanted to see a smashed mustang https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.gif

Rob x-7 11-03-2008 07:57 AM

when my old lexus got hit in the side my insurance did not go up, and that was a pretty decent claim- it was like $7000.

Worked for me as I got paid to paint the whole car, put new mirrors, new headlights, new rims and tires. Since I did it all myself I put about $3500 in my pocket after buying everything I needed brand new, even new emblems.
