daaang... I just got in to dutch harbor today. I took the boat up to save money. Freaking takes forever though.
Anyways, Im still waiting on a couple potential 'investors' and a couple grants that I sent away for, for independent films. And Im still looking for a director of photography ... but until then I'll be filming some stock footage and some interviews. Im going to have to come back up in october for some more shooting. Hopefully by then Ill have those other aforementioned things figured out.
and to further solidify my idea on exploiting a popular show, I had been working down in ballard for the past few weeks and one of the shows main boats, the northwestern, came into ship yard. Its not uncommon, Ive been around these guys for quite some time, but what was funny is the fact that this shitty busted up boat (which really does suck) was drawing crowds of people standing on the street taking pictures.
I thought... you know, I bet those losers would totally buy some shitty documentary I could make!

... maybe ill turn it into a mockumentary ... I dont like fishermen anyways.
