I'm still trying to get over the tone of this thing, and I seriously can't understand why more guitars don't come with tapped coils - being able to switch between humbuckers and single coils is so cool.

nah colin thats a regular Ibanez, but it was my first guitar so I treat it like its nice even though its nothing special





ya mark your guitar looks great, i would like to make one of those as well its beautiful. did you use maple for the body? It would be sweet to make one of those in a semi-hollow design too ! You can get some crazy good tones from semi-hollows, I have a Angus young type semi hollow myself that I rock out with. Only problem with semi hollows is that they have a lot of feedback when using them with higher gain applications.

Mahogany body, maple neck. The whole area where the electrics is is pretty much hollow, I'm sure that has something to do with the tone because it has that kind of roundness to it.

Some kind of lacquer, a friend did it. I'm not overly impressed but it protects it well and still looks fine. I would have gone for something thicker.

Depends on your amp too, though.



Going from a Marshall to the Orange was a big difference in feedback. Orange is so damn quiet.

i play a gibson les paul custom lite (the body is about an inch thick, which is weird..)



and a fender strat american delux sunburst



thru a line 6, if i didnt put all my spendin money into my car i'd have a crate or something
