Yeah those overgrown station wagons on steroids are impractical and inefficient the way they are usually driven, with only a couple people aboard.

I read in the paper that the pollution from the fire was equivalent to the pollution that would be produced by all the vehicles combined over a 10 year period.
Stunts like this only give insurance companies and the manufactures an excuse to add taxes to the price tag. I could just see a "terrorist," tax being added to the price tag of suv's or new vehicles.
