Going Under The Knife
#1
Anyone ever have a Sty? I've had a couple in the past and they always went away but not this time... It's been on my eyelid for over a month now and the doc says they have to lance my lid I'm going in on Tue, CANT WAIT to watch a razor come straight at my eye to cut my lid!

My dad has had them for the last couple of years. He had one when we went down the colorado river, and my mom had to pop it. He had three in his eye and had surgery a couple weeks ago. It sucks from what he said. Good luck man.

I don't know I'll ask him Sunday when I talk to him again. I think it hurt more when my mom popped it. It was pretty nasty. I had a zit once on the inside of my eyelid. I popped it. It sucked. I just hope I didn't inherit any type of gene that makes me more prone to getting one.

You're not suppose to pop stys. They say to put a hot wash cloth on it 3-4 times a day untill it drains it self.
A zit on the inside of your eyelid is like a sty. Doc said some people just get them more than others but they are also caused by dusty environments. To prevent them you're supposed to wash you eyes with J&J baby shampoo/soap.
Ask him how bad the surgury was, they say they numb the area before attacking me with a knife.

I had no clue, and neither of my parents knew what it was when my mom popped it. But thanks for the advice. I don't know if mine was an actual stye, it was probably just a zit. I'm pretty sure he told me that they numbed him first, but I'll find out how bad it was.
