Guys,

Going to San Francisco this weekend.

Debating if I should take my 8 or rent a car. I know parking is expensive since I was going to be in the Fisherman's Wharf area.

How bad is the parking, what i mean is how big are the parking spaces.

I wouldn't' mind paying a little more money to place that has those special parking spaces with the cushions on the side of each car. They have them down here by LAX, so you don't get door digs.

Anyone know of any good places like that around the area?

Did i say I hate door digs.

Is it a stick? Doesn't SanFran have like 45* hills? I can't imagine trying to parallel park a stick-shift on a steep hill.

You'll be fine. I work in the city, most of the spaces are large enough to fit an RX-8 comfortably. However, the people here have no respect for vehicles, so if you really want to keep your car safe, I wouldn't bring it. Is fisherman's wharf the only place you're going or are you hitting up other areas too?

I think we are going to be at Fisherman's Wharf area most of the time. it is only for 2 days. Gf has friends coming over from out state and she wants to visit them so i'm not sure what the plans are.

Man, looking at google earth. you really can't see any parking.

There's a big parking structure right across from pier 39. Use that.
