Lol - I'd sooner have a kit that uses a competent chassis (i.e. none of the a American ones). Also I'd probably be less worried about crashing a piece of automotive history

On that note I was recently in an real one - and it didn't have one of those boat anchors you call v8's in it either.

DeLorean! (which is actually really just a mix of just about every other make on the planet... esprit chassis, renault engine, ford and jaguar brakes, vw glovebox latch etc)
