you still didnt mention if you put winter additive in the fuel?

a guy I plow with uses a brand new Ford diesel truck and

he had to tow it because the fuel gelled up on him while

he was driving it actually. You need to put that **** in, even

if the diesel says it has it, you still have to add some to the

tank.

Its not fuel gelling.. Its the damn fact I have to crank it over for awhile to get it to fire... causing the batteries to run down.. if the block heater worked I wouldn't have this problem.. But unfortunately Diesels thrives off heat/ detonation and when its cold its hard to ignite fuel and air...

DUDE HOLY ******* ****!

I totally just drained my ******* battery trying to get the car to start. I've been having so much trouble with this damn thing.

One solution I've found is: Ether or quick starting fluid. It works great...when the battery stays alive.

I'm waiting for the tow truck to come and boost me, i hope the battery he uses doesnt die too like mine did LOL!

I've been waiting for my cheque to come in for two weeks, first thing i was going to purchase was a OPTIMA YELLOW TOP battery. You can crank for days and the thing wont die (so ive heard) but i havent gotten the cheque yet, most likely it came today...so i was gonna get the battery today...but my car died today.

Well, the RX-7 has a 12a carburated engine and is rotary, therefore it has a choke. It runs on oil, gas and love.

The V-dub is diiiieeesel, it runs on hopes and dreams, it has a choke like handle that you pull that advances timing to keep the engine from running like **** in the cold.

What i need right now for my car is a set of glow plugs, wich i just ordered.

Hopefully my shitty battery will crank my engine over with new glow plugs.

Now all I need is phat chronic blunt, some new pants to replace the ones I tore to **** last night, some ***** and a S5 Turbo II and I'll be good.. Ya'll have been the ****.. I'm taking advice from here more often.

unitl someone showed me how to start my 1985 RX-7 GS when

it was really cold, it took forever, then once someone showed me

the correct procedure it fired up in 1 try.

I had a tiny work van that was built on a VW diesel chassis, it also

had a hard time starting, then after a set of glow plugs the thing

started right up.
