today in weight training i was using the mechanical bench press machine deal. i started it at 200, then did as many as i could, then had my friend help me with like 2 after that, then we did the same for 190, then all the way down to 140, and now i have trouble lifting myself out of my seat :\

you dont get any stronger by doing it that way. you have to increase (which is why you start way below your threshold for liffting).
start eating some cow balls you get pretty big. |

Pushing yourself it key to resistance exercise. You're literally tearing down muscle fibers, forcing your body to create more in their place.

Yeah to get ripped you use light weight more reps and to bulk up it is heavy weight for less reps.

I increase weight, and decrease reps. I don't know what you call it, but that's what I do. Last time I was at the gym I did legs, and almost puked. Took a week for my legs to stop hurting.

That is kind of like a pyramid workout. I have one that goes 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1. And you gradually work up from that. It is a really good workout.
