if it was sitting for a while, and some fuel was left in the carb, it could have gumed up and clogged the jets. I would take the carb apart, clean it all up and try again. From what you say, it sounds like it's not getting enough fuel

i have heard r/c fuel is fairly harmfull to a carby designed for gasoline.

might wanna think about buying a gasket set for the carby and rebuilding it.

what engine does it have? a zenoah?
