GM and Segway introduce The Peoples Car

That'll be a big seller in Canada and Northern States.. Should do very well on ice covered highways at -30.. Way to go GM.
They would be twice as far ahead if they just put out some diesel cars and smaller practical trucks that weren't total POS, and didn't look like a leftover capsella toy from the 1980's..

That would sell like hotcakes in my hometown, you have whole families driving by on those little battery powered four-wheeled scooters because their too ******* lazy to walk...now they only have to buy 1 and they can sit together while looking like complete idiots.

Whats the top speed of that thing? Even in Asian countries their little tinbox cars will do a 100 km/h to keep with normal vehicular traffic.. I just see that thing as total safety nightmare, to small and slow for roads, to fast and big for bike path systems.
Right now Segways are banned on pedestrian and bike routes here, as a motorized vehicle.
In 1994 dodge could make a fullsize diesel truck that got 25 mpg. In 2007, governments corked up diesels and knocked 10-12 mpg off of them. The only way besides a smart car, to get a good diesel these days is to buy an older model 3/4 ton or heavier truck. Its just ridiculous that there is a huge hole in the product lineup that could be filled with existing european spec diesel models, that offer double the mpg of their gas counterparts.. Chrysler makes the minivan in diesel spec in Europe and I bet it beats the 18 mpg my minivan gets.
But they spend their time on niche fad concepts like that, let them go bankrupt.
