I actually agree with G2G on this one. Dude, welcome to the ******* business world pal! ****, I used get in meetings that would run HOURS late. When I was working for excite@home, i used to work 12-14 hours a day, only getting paid for 8. Some of you may think I was stupid for doing that and "wheres MY benefit to working all those extra unpaid hours." Well, the benefit comes later on down the road when I got promoted and spent most my day playing video games or hiting on the hot chicks in the marketing department.

My dad has always been my role model for work. He opens our store at 4:30 to 4:45 every morning and closes it at 7pm. he takes a 1 oclock break every day and comes back at 2.

go figure those hours.

Ooof. I could only do that for a short time. That would kill me. I give your dad major props for doing those hours.

So if you ever get a real job, and the meetings run over like they almost always do, you're going to tell the boss that you are going to come in late. Yeah sounds like you're a model ******* employee.

Ha its like my buddy, complains he has a shitty job working at BK but sleeps in during an interview for a job that would have gotten him 15 bucks/hour sitting on his ***.

Would have been perfect for him!!! So now his 18 year old gf is the breadwinner....

Quit your bitchin. I work for office depot as an underpaid employee who gets to stay on average an hour later than I am scheduled for. Last night was an hour and a half. Sure, sometimes I get cranky, but I gotta suck it up and deal with it cause thats how the **** goes.

When I had a real job doing engineering/surveying, I was a slave to the job. Stayed late, got there early, gave up lunches, sat through meeting after meeting.....its life.

Over the summer i would always end up working 14 hour+ shifts because people cant remember to come into work for the afternoon shift. Dumbasses

It was cool though because i was making about 100 cash per shift, so 200 bucks cash for hanging out at a golf course? hell yea

oh crap 10 minutes later then it should have?

Another comment i liked was "i always come in early, and dont get paid for it"

What the ****? you expect to get paid for being early? My boss would hit you with a wrench and walk away. I show up at work around 6:35am everyday....i sit in the parking lot and drink my coffee until the manager comes at around 6:59 (we open at 7am). Then i work all day and only get a 30minute break...which half the time i half to like hassle him to give to me when i actually want it...the best part is even if i DONT TAKE my break he still takes it from my paycheck. THen around 6pm i get out of work. 11.5 hours at the stupid shop, everyday....6 days a ******* week.

the paychecks are fat tho, so i dont complain.

it's life, it kicks you in the ***** sometimes.

kevin.

when i worked at bk i got there 15 minutes early, out of a 8 hour day (or night) id either get a half hour break or none at all.

that was a piece of cake because it was only like 10 minutes from my house...

for my current job i get up at 5am to drive there and i usually dont get home until 6pm.
