Gfs Car Broken Into
#1
My Gfs car was broken into last night. All they got was the stereo (which i bought her like 2 years ago for her graduation), and they messed up the stereo/ac surround so its not all that bad. They didnt break any windows so i guess they used a slim jim bc she always locks her car. They did fold down the back seats i guess to check for stereo stuff in the trunk.
The only kinda big problem is that now the power locks, mirrors, and speedometer dont work. The locks dont work on either door (pass. or driver) so its not just a problem in the driver door which is the one they broke into. The car is a 95 rustang, i thought maybe someone on here would have an idea about what could be causing this.

i thought of the fuses earlier and kinda checked them. first of all, all of these problems are on different fuses, second of all the fuse puller thingy was missing so i couldnt get the fuses out and didnt have time to get pliers or something else, so ill check them later.

way old news, i hate this car, the only reason i care about keeping it in pretty good shape is to keep the trade in value up bc were getting rid of it around the end of the year.

yeah, check the fuses.. had a mustang, lost the speedo and rpms after some ******** mechanic crossed the + and - cables..
replaces all the fuses, rpm's and other stuff worked, but it blew the speedo head.. had to get a new one.. almost a grand later, it worked, but the mileage on the car was off..
have the insurance take care of it.

she doesnt have full coverage on it, and i was under the impression that liability wont cover this.

[quote name='Sinful7' date='Aug 16 2005, 12:21 PM']If they cut the wires, they may have shorted whilst being butchered. Usually all that interior crap is on 1 or 2 different fewzes

they did cut the wires, ill check it out later to see if thats the problem. actually i talked to her at lunch time and she said that the power lock started working but not the power unlock so its probably not the fuse but ive seen stranger things than that so ill check it out. all of these things are on different fuses, i know normally these things wouldnt all be on different stuff, but this is a mustang.
oh thanks for the input guys
