I got on the list for email notifications on the GSA auctions. Went down there last weekend to sign for some stuf (favor for a friend) anyhow I saw some of what they had HP LJ4's, 3SI's anyhow, i get the list and was thinking of bidding, doing some repairs and ebaying them (I am Cannon/HP trained on LaserJet's) anyhow I am not too sure I want to buy 3 pallets of laserjet printers. That is kinda scary, I may go down sometime and see what they go for. they were selling as is single units for $45.00, which I bought mine for $25.00 and repaired, but still that is a pretty nice price.

No clue WTF i would do with 3 pallets of printers and let me tell you they aren't stacked on high, one I looked had 11 printers on it a pallet.

My shop has a repair contract with GSA. We do all the vehicles on our area.

Ain't the gov'ment great? LOL they love to waste/throw away $$$$

I call them up tell them what they need and a price, no questions or problems I get a creditcard # from GSA and it's all paid

LOL me too, i worked for this place in highschool they sent me to the classes and all that bullshit (there isn't much too them, they just send you home with some reference manuals) anyhow, graduated highschool and said I'm outta here, too much dealing with people. I went to this lawyers office and their 3SI network printer was jacked, take a look at it and see coffee all over the back of it. Bitch argued with me for 20 minutes that it was impossible, I finally told her it didn't really matter what it was, here is the estimate and it was like that everyday.

It always gets me that people hate canon printers and don't know that the HP uses canon parts.

The only thing HP is the plastic, they are an all cannon engine. Yea I know how that goes. Then when the ink jets came out, "yea i have this inkjet... I would just say, ok let me stop you right there, do you have a trash can near by? Go ahead and place your smear jet in the trash can" Then if the persued it I would say ok, it's $75.00 per hour, one hour minimum, how much did you pay for the printer?

More Sick:

It's cheaper to buy a new printer then more ink.

They also tell you that printers come with "starter" cartridges, so you have to buy more right away. That's a load of crap, unless a starter cartridge is supposed to last a year, and that's with printing 400 color wedding invitations.
