Thats pretty neat. At first glance I thought it was a cutaway of a runflat.

Very cool but very hideous.

What happens when you drive through mud? Would you have to pull over and clean out your tires?

Ooooooo drift in those puppies......they're aerodynamic! Like running in flip/flops ******* fall off sideways.

Baldy 01-31-2005 02:53 PM

I guess you couldn't adjust pressure. "yeah, I got my street tweels and my drag tweels"

they would come with a thin rubber sidewall, only for keeping crap outta the 'tire'.

Checked them out at the Detroit Auto Show and spoke to a guy who had to be an engineer. The tread is actually so stiff it transfers the load all around the diameter, so the supports at the top are in tension while the ones at the bottom are deflecting in compression.

OH i was thinking they didn't have sidewall protection, or to at least hide the ugly factor going on. So potentially these could work pretty good?

Shane.Trammell 01-31-2005 03:03 PM

they looks like they could work
