I dont play when it comes to heating my house or something that might save me money on oil and make the unit run better.
The parts are usually so cheap that if there is doubt I replace them.

my buddy's old man is a plumber/heater guy and he told me how to bleed the lines properly.. ironically enough its just like bleeding diesel pln lines, so i bled them and the furnace fired up, the water heater air locked 3 or 4 times from bubbles before it stayed on
for the record the ignitors are still burnt.. but they work so, **** it

You're gonna be pissed when those ignitors fail completely and it's ten below outside... Might as well get some backups now!
