Hi, I'm new and clueless, and am just trying to learn. I just bought this car, and it is all original, and it gets horrible gas milege. It has all the factory exhaust, and I was wondering if the cat may be plugged, and if I just replaced the whole exhaust, maybe with Racing Beat Turbo 11 system, this may solve my problem.

replacing the exhaust will give you better gas mileage. the easiest way to get more MPG is to stay off boost and not rev out every gear....... the opposite of what i do ask 13BAce

Define horrible?? It couldnt be worse than my 10 -13 miles per gallon I was getting. But i did kinda rev out every gear, something about loud popping and flames might have had a lot to do with it. Hell its prob why my engine suddenly decided to bog down on me on the way to work. I hope it feels better when i go home.

If a 13B is running on 1 rotor, is it still considered a 13B??

Thanks for the advice. I just called Racing Beat about that Turbo 11 exhaust, and they no longer make it, and are unsure when they will be coming up with a new model. Any suggestions on exhaust, I want to get rid of that cat, or do you suggest a high flow cat. This car gets 12 - 13 mpg and is bone stock.

OMG, yeah thats really bad, unless its carbed. Does it have a flooding problem? Is the exhaust black, which would indicate too much fuel also. Either way u should get the ehaust .

RB only has the downpipe and mufflers in stock for the full exhaust. i'm running the dp to a custom 3" mp i love it! with stock catback its barely louder than with the precat and main cat. spools SO MUCH FASTER. here is a pic of the downpipe

Like I said earlier, I'm clueless about these cars. That RB exhaust says you get 60 hp from it with the fuel cut controller. Is there any other exhaust where I'm going to get that kind of horse power? I'm from Canada and a guy in Toronto says he can customize me a 3" downpipe with Reative pre-silencer and Reative mufflers, all mandrel bent stainless steel. Are Reactive Mufflers any good?
