MY computer took a nose dive this morning. I tried fixing it but I cant find my XP install disc so I am screwed for the moment. I had to upload REDhat to an old 40 gig I had lying around just to get on tonight.

Anyone ever encountered a spyware/virus that would casue the system to shuut down automatically after loggin into windows and then keep restarting itself.

Any suggestions aside from tryin run the install disc and hope the update corrects the problem?

I need MAC!!

that should do the trick, but you can always install WinXP to another directory and get your files if all else fails, you can have one of my XP disks if you just need to get your data off, it'll work long enough before you have to activate it to get your stuff

It hit thousands of peoples computers today apparently.
