My god man, so heres the deal, geico has ONE SHOP in Martin County that is authorized to do service with their lifetime warranty, coincidentally they have a convenient sign on the door that says "GEICO CLAIMS" right inside the office of the auto shop, also you MUST TAKE YOUR CAR HERE if it is not drivable, I take my car there and they do everything possible to get me to take it to their shop, they tell me I will have to pay the labor above and beyond the 40 per hour the shop rate Geico pays and the district supervisor has the ***** to tell me this isn't steerage.

Oh i already did, but not before getting into it with geico management. ******* pisses me off, I cannot believe they can force me to come to their shop just to get an estimate, total horseshit. those ******** have a dirt parking lot one spraybooth and they are spraying fenders out in the parking lot, no **** i could smell the paint before i turned the corner. Also I couldnt see a frame machine anywhere. The dude I took it too is from Long Island 4 downdraft paintbooths 3 frame machines and he is respraying the whole side of the car.

im sure he also told you everything will be fine, they try to scare you.
******* crooks and thieves, you should tell your states insurance board about thier practices, scare tactics like that only work on old ladies.
I had a adjuster try to yank a job from my yard, he said he would have the boat taken to another yard that, and I quote "he sends all his work too"...... I just about ripped his head off telling him how illegal that was and how I would make a few phone calls to have his job.
They CANT send thier work somewhere, they can suggest but not force you.

Under the RICO act (sp?) they cannot try to steer you to their shop, but this is quite blatent that this is exactly what they are doing and I will go to the states insurance commissioner, I would be willing to bet 75% of their claims go to that shop, you have to go there to get an estimate and most people are intimidated when they try to strong arm you into that craphole.
