Ok, So I was on my way home from the baseball game. I was following traffic, but I was thinking about where my wheel lock key was (I was heading home to search for it). I blew through a red light. My bad.

There was a UC in the left turn lane on 20th street westbound, he jumps behind me and flips on his lights. Well, that's just great. Oh well, I deserve it, not paying attention and all..



Ok, so I'm in the right lane, the line is about 20 cars long. I think, "ok, baseball traffic, no shoulder, I better get to a side street quick!" The left lane traffic is significantly thinner, so I wave out the window CLEARLY, and POINT repeatedly to the left lane. I cannot see the officer's face or gestures (if there were any) because his windows are tinted so dark. Then I move to the left and get in the left turn lane, and make the turn. I pull over IMMEDIATLY, windows down, squeezed the cherry off my cigarette and held onto it while placing my hands over the window threshold. The cop gets out, DRAWS his GUN and starts yelling at me!! (For CHRIST SAKE, DON'T SHOOT, I'M NOT A RETARDED BLACK KID!!! ) He starts off by yelling, "TURN THE CAR OFF!" Then he's yelling asking why I was running! I try say, as calmly as I can, "I apologize sir, I was trying to move so not to impede traffic." He yells again, "It's a simple red light violation, why'd you run?!?!" I reiterate, "I'm very sorry, I did not want to impede the baseball traffic!" He holsters his weapon and approaches the window. Looks at me with disgust and grabs the cigarette but, as I am sitting with my hands up and out the window, and says, "What is THIS?!?" And throws it on the ground. I tried to reply that I would gladly have put that in my ash tray, but I was interrupted.. "Show me your license." I unbuckle and reach for my wallet, keeping one hand up and out the window. I hand him my license and he looks at it and says, "How much have you had to drink?" I replied honestly, "I've had a few beers." He retorted snidely, "Yeah, right." I immediatly recanted, "I have had three 12 oz. beers."

He says in an easier voice, "step out of the car please."

I comply immediatly. He directs me to the rear of the car and commands me to sit on my dirty ass bumper with white slacks on. He then asks me if I will submit to a voluntary roadside sobriety test, and I reply, "absolutely!"



He does the finger test. (I forget what that's called) Did it for about three minutes, in a manner that I've never experienced.. His finger motions were erratic and difficult, he had me staring into the direction of the sun for extended periods and damn, that hurt!



He then asks me peacefully to get my registration and proof of insurance. I inform him that they are in the glove box, to which he replys, "I don't care, just get them!" (Excuuuuuuse me for trying to be communicative!!) I get them out and he grabs them from me. Goes back to his car and tells me to wait there. So I'm standing outside of my car, my sunglasses are on the rear of the roof, waiting..



A few minutes later, he leans his head out and says, "Sir, please have a seat in your vehicle." I gesture that I would like to retrieve my glasses and he snaps, "NO! SIT IN YOUR.. Oh, that's ok." So I grab my glasses and have a seat, but keep my hands outside the windows at all times.



He comes back with my license and a ticket, wrote me up for Disobeying a traffic signal and ELUDING! WHAT THE ****! He tells me to tell the city attorney on the court date that exactly what I explained to him about trying not to impede traffic, hands me my stuff. I say, "Thank you officer" and belt up.



Now WHAT THE **** was THAT?!?! I did everything I could to ensure the peace of mind of the officer, be considerate of the traffic flows, be open, honest, communicative, careful and respectful! And this shithead, crosseyed PIG treated me like a ******* FELON! Yeah, I ran a red light, it was a poor judgement call on my part, but I don't deserve to have a gun pulled on me for stopping ONE **********ING BLOCK from where he first flashed me



You know what? **** that cop!



I'm SO glad not all cops are like that! Where would we be if we were menaced for trying to be thoughtful and courteous?!? What the hell happened to all the good cops?!?! I know there are some around, I guess they're all CSP and in the suburbs.

Ah...they love to accuse of eluding lately (remember my story a week or so ago?) and that's a bitch of a ticket. Good thing my guy didn't put that on mine. He took your cigarette? There's a bunch of red flags with that guy that I think the right lawyer would love...

Oh baby.. Denver PD is notorious for excessive use of force.. I'm about this close to contacting the attorney that sued the city for the shooting of the unarmed retarded kid last year.

I never say thank you after he gives me a ticket especially when they act like the ass they think we are...I dont say anything but yes sir and no sir. I'll wait till I go to court or plead guilty to the court by paying the fine. He is not the judge.

I had a motorcycle cop do almost the same thing. I was coming off the 405 in the vert, this cop comes out of nowhere lights on, siren blaring, damn near grid locked traffic so I pulled over to the left instead of the right and rolled through a yellow light to do so.



I had the top down and my temp permit was on the dash, instead of glued to the back window, as is required by this state. He pulls his service pistol on me and starts hollering like i'm a deaf mute..."PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!" "TAKE YOUR LEFT HAND, REACH ACROSS YOUR BODY, REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION AND THROW IN BACK HERE TO ME!" Now, I have very little tolerance for someone yelling me as it is, and i'm racking my brain as to why the officer has drawn a bead on me, so with those two things spinning in my head and the authority probelms a have had since forever I holler out "WHAT DO YOU THINK I AM, A ******* CONTORTIONIST?, YOU COME UP HERE AND TAKE THE KEY OUT OF MY IGNITION OR JUST SPLATTER MY BRAINS ALL OVER THE WINDSHIELD, EITHER WAY I REALLY DON'T GIVE A ****!" all the while having my hands in plain sight above the windshield line.

After all was said and done and we came back down to earth the officer apologized and I did as well and ended up not being cited for anything, but for a few moments there I was wondering if I was going to make it home, or be a clip on the 11 o'clock news.

you can demand to have the video from the officers car. use that in court to show that you didn't try to run, and that he used excessive force. I wouldn't be suprised if they just dropped everything when you demand the video and don't even go to court...

Like you I ALWAYS pull over in a WELL lit, parking lot off the road so that he and i are both safe, i have never received a ticket when doing this, the cop must just be a prick and his wife hates the size of his penis. around the first and last of the month i try to drive "normal" cops are out in force then so they can coast the rest of the month till the last week.





i've been pulled over 3 time in the last 12 days, all for some lights not working and my car being loud. for some reason my reverse lights were staying on 100% of the time, so a cop pulls me over and says "you have a prob with your lights" i politely ask if i can get out of the car to see wtf is going on. she politely said yes, i say oh ok i know what the prob was, (my reverse lights were shorting out) she said ok... have you had anything to drink tonight? i said yes one beer. she pulls out her book and asks me to blow in the breathalyzer. i say sure, because if you say no you automatically go to the cop shop, and have to use the "rigged one". So she shows me How to "blow" at this point i'm getting horny because she was hot and blowing, like any good woman should be. she blows a .000. she asks me to blow i also blow a .000 and laugh. she says ok well your good to go but just so you know you can likely have 2-3 beers and still drive home, i'm like ok good to know, have a good night.

I got pulled over recently, and altho the cop was cool and everything, it just pisses me off about the roads and stuff in NJ... i was doing 75 on a 65 road at 1 am, no other cars around. Then i see a pair of headlights behind me coming up quick, so i get over to the right to make room, and its a cop. I get pulled over for doing 75 in a 55... turns out the highway i was on goes from a 65 speed limit to a 55 for about a quarter mile, for who knows what reason, and there was a cop just sitting there. The cop was reasonable, but whoever planned that damn road must have been thinking of good ways to raise money for the state. To make it worse, i was in my brothers car and could not find the damn insurance card.. turns out it was in the car, but hidden inside the owners manual, in a completely different place from the registration. the whole night just pissed me off (I was already upset cause i had just seen my gf for the last time before we both went away, me to germany and her to NM, and wouldnt see each other for 3 months). damn road planners.

Try to remeber this the next time you get pulled.....the average IQ for a cop is in the range of 80 to 90. You have an average minded guy with a gun.... enforcing extensive complicated laws. He could even be on a steroid cycle to make himself better prepared for the job.......Just be glad you are not black because the picture gets worse then.

I cant tell you the times im with my black freinds or dark hispanics and we pulled over just becuase we got our hats real low, we just look bad. We get pulled over for taking too long to turn the corner, going on yellow anything. But ive gotten pulled over many times and was let go becuase i was white looking, but a black female officer pulled me over and gave me a BS ticket for not having my seatbelt on when i was wearing it , and she clearly saw it and is telling me to my face i dont have a seatbelt on and im like your ******* kidding me , just like that, im wearing it. She got my info and gave me a ticket. ******* COPS i hate them all. My bros gonna become a cop i told him ima hate him too lol..

Yep. That was a reference to the Denver PD's outstanding history of racial profiling, excessive use of force and overall poor situational judgement.

The only people I really dislike is Denver cops. Hell, I even like the suburb ones!
