I know, I know. Russ, create a firewall, just for shitz and giggles. I can try and get in using the firewall settings you make.

yeah, it is set up to be passive, i just swiched it to port 80, the other day when that guy from a yahoo chat room was in i was using port 23 with no problems, but today it wont let me use it, it says another program is using it



4/21/2003 1:15:14 AM SERVER: Unable to start server, port 23 may already be in use.



so maby that is the problem.....

my router has a fire wall and so does my computer via nortons, i disabled both of them to make this work

hmm i dunno, 23 was working for me except it seemed to not like my usernames and pws.



try doing a full reboot of your computer and internet connection, then come back and setup the server fresh.

I'm thinking disconect the router and plug the modem directly into the computer. but i would still have 2 ip addresses.......
