2. What kinda phone do you have? Most do mp3, most nokias can use amr, sprint uses aac (mpeg4) or qcf, and all of them can do midi. Find out what kind your phone uses then get to work.

3. Ways to get it into your phone...unless you're a huge phone dork, sites like www.euploader.com can get the file from your computer to your phone. If you dont have a data plan, then plan on paying casual usage rates to download your ringtone. If you do this often, maybe the cable/bt option is for you. If you have cingular, you can send a ringtone to your phone by email. Just send an email with the ringer attached to (yourphonenumber@mms.mycingular.com) <without parenthesis and your actual number > and within a minute or so, you'll receive a multimedia message with your ringer.
