pop your spacebar out, there really is no reason for it to be failing, unless something is stuck in there and gumming it up.
pop off the bar, a bracket should pop out with it, inspect everything, if dirty spray it with some "goo be gone" or canned air, or if you have an air compressor used that air. It's not like the keyboard needs an oil change or something
