I think I would take the bokken to him and break a few bones.
Seriously it is an interesting story and I am surprised it is getting on other forums. Hopefully people will not get the wrong idea about 7 owners. At least people on other forums get to check out his car, since it is/was very nice. Hopefully they don't diss it much.

They can't get you for attempted murder, as you didn't want to kill him. You see if you have THAT kind of control with a gun you could have blown his head off easily

I can't believe that crap. Coupeville is about 25 miles south of me on the same island. That doesn't give me a very warm feeling. Whidbey Island has always seemed so safe. I mean, I don't own a high-dollar FD or anything, but I probably love my car just as much as that guy loves his. I would not be able to handle it being stolen.
