I have dual Flowmasters on my Jeep, Flowmasters sound nice, especially when they exaust a V-8 with a cam.

They sound good on a truck as well as a car.

Why is it so bad for a otherwise stock import to have a aftermarket muffler but when a domestic car puts a flowmaster on its redneck?????

Hmmmmmm....... when I drop a Yamaha 3.0L SHO V6 in my Probe, I was planning on doing a custom exhaust with dual Borla mufflers (was sorta toying with the idea of a very subtle side exit exhaust using inline mufflers), but this thread got me thinking about using Flowmasters instead. But then Cheers! had to go ahead and mention Borla, so now I don't know, lol. Oh well. I wont be starting that project for at least a year.

Hmmmm.. a dual side exhaust would be cool, but I kinda wanna do a simple straight back setup, like stock SHO's... It's fun to think about.

So, about 20 minutes ago, I'm riding in my bosses truck with him.

me: "so, you said you were going to put a lift kit on your truck?"

him: "yeah, I was thinking about 10 inches"

me: "so, what are those used for? like, we don't have mountains and rocks and stuff. Are there like off-roading trails and stuff around

here?"

him: "uh, I'm not sure. you might have to cross creeks and stuff."

there you have it, folks.
oooooo~ thats a good point. If we consider rice to be putting accesories on a car that make it go fast when it is really slow (i.e. a high speed wing for a geo, or huge exhaust for a honda) then i guess domestic... bread? could be considered lifting a truck in a completely urban setting. I dig it...

exactly my point.

i dont even see buying a truck in an urban setting unless you are gonna be pulling a boat to your camp on a lake, or you need it for work tools ect.

trucks like escalades are just ridiculous to me........ pointless too.

don't get me wrong, our town is surrounded by forest, and trucks are very much needed around here...very big with hunting and fishing, towing large loads and the like. But 10" is overkill.

And if anyone is going to use their truck for going hunting, flowmasters is not a good idea...yet they do it anyway .

Yup, straight pipes is the answer!

Flowmasters sound great on a car with a really agressive cam. The loping is beautiful!

yeah a lift is cool when you use it.

a bunch of my friends in vermont have lifted trucks and jeeps and we go offroading and camping up in the mountians and stuff.

they actually use their lift.

the muffler shop had a cut open flowmaster, had that has more baffles than the panama canal, go with the borla, its straight thru
