This is for Phins:
http://www.weather.com/weather/local/34952...238&par=Desktop Summer is here! After 3 months of ZERO rainfall we now have our beloved afternoon, oh my god the world is ending, Thunderstorms. They hit EVERY day between 3:00 and 5:00 and last from 30 minutes to 3 hours. Here is a visual from out in front of our office: |
The bulk of the storm is North of us. It will prbably not rain at my house 10 miles south today.
|
rain sucks. i love LA
|
send the rain up here please
|
Wow, I didn't know it dad that in south fl too.
"it's raining. damn, I missed my 2:00 appointment!" and I have yet to figure out the main difference between "isolated" and "scattered" thunderstorms |

We are on the verge of of a statewide emergency. We are like 50 points from being rated a desert here. We have been in a nasty drought for over 2 months now. We need the rain bad. Or else we will be dealing with wild fires. |
yeah we deal with lots of wild fires. it rains sometimes, like 2 - 3 weeks out of the year
|
We had rain 25 out of 31 days in May. Including 5 hail storms! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png
|
Send the rain down here Jim, we haven't had decent rain in a long time, this whole week was suposed to be rain, but nothing so far, and the fire is so much fun to smell everytime I step out side since we're only 7-10 miles from where it is. lol

Yay, finally started raining about half an hour ago, just a little rain, so I atleast don't have to swim from the car to the front door................... yet.
Cause everyone knows, its alot of fun to get off of work, go home, get ready to get out the car, and you end up standing in a good foot to foot and a half of water |
yeah i've noticed it's not even really isolated storms, it's more like huge powder kegs floating around in the sky. You could barely see where your driving, then 5 seconds later it's too hot and sunny to have your windows up.
some days you dodge them all togther, some days you swim home, but by 7 it's all clear anyways |
******* rain everyday would drive me crazy washing the car
and working outside |
yeah a lot of the country you can almost set your watch by the rain. not really here, we do get an on shore wind about 5:00 though, cools everything down
|
Bah, Our weather people can barely give you a 6 hour heads up on a weather system!
Damn lakes. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/dry.png |

we had a fire last week for miles out west screwing with our beloved Everglades. have to be careful, they where saying its so dry that heat from an exhaust can set off a fire. I was at Bill Baggs park in Key Biscayne (top 10 most beatiful beaches in the U.S. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub... ) yesterday and almost melted.
|
Rain is for pussies, real states get tornados.

You just get wet. Better than working outside when it's dry, and hot as hell. I've found myself wanting to go stand in the rain, so when it stops I won't feel as hot (short rains make it really muggy).
what if you have paint drying or something, then your fucked! |
i lived in FL for a few years, i wanna go back. You could tell the tourists on the beach cuz it'd start to rain and they run. We stayed put cuz we knew 5 minutes later it'd be sunny again LOL
